Former SRH coach Tom Moody has reckoned that Virat Kohli will do everything to bring his team into the playoffs in IPL 2023. Tom Moody also added that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will need to pull their socks in the next two games if they want to qualify for a playoff berth.
RCB has two more games left in IPL 2023. They have 12 points from 12 games and take the 5th spot in the points table. They will play two games against Sunrisers Hyderabad (May 18) and Gujarat Titans (May 21). If RCB wins both these games, they have a good chance to qualify for playoffs.

Virat Kohli Will Do Everything To Help RCB Reach Playoff, Feels Tom Moody
While speaking on Star Sports show Cricket Live, Sri Lanka Cricket Director Tom Moody said that RCB players need to pull their socks up to reach playoffs. He also backed Virat Kohli saying that he will do everything to secure a playoff berth for RCB.
“RCB’s form has tapered off through the halfway stage, they started well but lost steam in the second phase. So, they need to pull up their socks and go full throttle in the remaining games. They have a player like Virat Kohli, who will do everything in his potential to help RCB stay in the playoffs race,” Moody was quoted as saying.

“RCB will have to play as a team. Now is not the time that RCB should focus on just three players (Kohli, Maxwell and Faf). Now every player will have to come forward and fulfil his responsibility,” Moody further said.
Along with RCB, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Punjab Kings also have 12 points but have only 1 game left. Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are almost out of the playoffs race, even with 12 points with 1 match to go due to a lower net run rate. Mumbai Indians have 14 points and 1 game left.

However, if MI loses their last match, they will be out of playoffs because RCB (+0.166) has a better net run rate than MI (-0.128). However for that to happen, RCB will need to win at least one of their next two games with a decent margin.
