Umran Malik was a force to reckon with in IPL 2022 when he took 22 wickets in 16 matches. Many experts tipped that Umran can break the record for the fastest delivery and after the conclusion of IPL 2022, he got a chance to represent India against England in T20I Series.

Umran Malik played the last match for SRH against Delhi Capitals (DC) on 29th April. Umran Malik hasn’t been able to bowl impeccable lines & lengths like last season when he thrashed the batters with his sheer pace.

Umran Malik’s services should have been utilized by SRH- Zaheer Khan

Zaheer Khan was having an interaction with Jio Cinema. Zaheer Khan questioned SRH for not giving a long run to the speedster Umran Malik and said that a player needs support & guidance from the franchise.

“Umran Malik has not been handled well I felt by the franchise, (in) the way he should have been handled by the franchise, (in) the way his services should have been utilised by SRH. That’s something which was evident,” said Zaheer Khan.

“When you are talking about a young seamer, you are also looking at creating that environment and support. And, that guidance is required. Unfortunately that was not seen by SRH. That’s why, he’s had a season like this,” he added.
