“I mean Virat Kohli in a chase, what more can you say” – Sanjay Bangar

Virat Kohli started the run chase with a strong tempo and ominous tone. After scoring 64 runs during the powerplay and maintaining one step in the following overs, RCB never felt the pressure of the required run rate.

Sanjay Bangar, the head coach of the RCB, believes that Kohli’s game-winning innings will put to rest many of the naysayers who have voiced concerns about his low strike rate in the middle overs.

“What a fabulous innings it was from Virat. The moment that he drive Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over itself, you knew that something special was brewing up and he just continued. Some of the shots that he played, he silenced a lot of critics, who say that he can’t hit the big shots,” Sanjay Bangar said.
