Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee said that he was impressed with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli’s shots during his sixth Indian Premier League (IPL) century. Brett Lee credited skipper Faf du Plessis for Virat Kohli’s knock during the 8-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday, May 18.

Virat Kohli is having his best season in the tournament since his record-breaking performance in 2016, when he scored 973 runs in 16 matches. “Some of those shots that Kohli played, the way I liked how he places things was, he gave himself a chance to talk. He wasn’t moving around a lot… When he’s playing shots like these, you know he’s on… They gave themselves a chance, both those guys, and you also have to give credit also to Faf du Plessis, who was a great ally and allowed Kohli to steal the game,” he added.

Virat Kohli scored 100 runs off 63 deliveries to guide the Bangalore-based franchise to chase down the target with four balls to spare. The 34-year-old added a 172-run partnership for the opening wicket before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
