The high-voltage contest between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 witnessed quite a few eye-catching moments.

From Harshal Patel‘s 3-fer to Devon Conway‘s half-century, fans had a complete dose of entertainment in the southern derby clash. Amid all this, an off-field proposal also captured everyone’s attention and hogged the limelight.

During the final few overs of the CSK’s chase, a girl was spotted proposing to her male friend. The video of the proposal later went viral and was being shared widely on social media platforms. The boy didn’t disappoint his friend and said yes! He seemed to be an RCB fan as he had sported the franchise’s new jersey.

Reacting to the proposal, former India opener Wasim Jaffer came up with an interesting point and hilariously explained why the boy will always remain loyal to his partner.

“Smart girl proposing an RCB fan. If he can stay loyal to RCB, he can definitely stay loyal to his partner Well done, and a good day to propose #RCBvCSK #IPL2022,” Jaffer wrote on Twitter.

In the match, the Challengers, after posting 173/8 on the board, restricted the Super Kings at 160/8 to win the match by 13 runs. The victory also took RCB to sit at the fourth spot in the points table headed by Gujarat Titans (GT).

“We are moving in the right direction. We have been very good in the bowling department. I thought 165 was a par score on that and anything above that was a bonus. I thought the Powerplay was a good time to score. The fielding was amazing. Some great catching and good bowling indeed. We are very lucky to have experienced guys. Very good to have me lean on the senior players. Just keep improving in the batting department. We want one of the top four to bat through. Need to keep playing the positive brand of cricket,” said RCB skipper Faf du Plessis after the match.
